PTA 130 COURSE

PTA130 is an introductory course at Pennsylvania Institute of Technology. It is taught during the summer term (July-September)and consists of an in-person lecture held three days per week, 2 hours each day.

PTA 130 introduces students to the medical and surgical conditions most frequently encountered in physical therapy (PT) departments, with emphasis on the role of the physical therapy assistant (PTA) in the treatment of each. It is a 3 credit lecture-based course with no lab. There is generally a ten-minute break halfway through the lecture. Previously recorded lectures are available for students on the Canvas LMS course.
